About Jongzo

Jongzo is an elegant, streamlined scoring companion for Hong Kong style Mahjong, designed to track points, handle payments, and manage game rules effortlessly for you and your friends. Whether you're playing a casual evening round at home or running a more competitive session, Jongzo takes care of the maths so you can focus on the tiles in front of you.

The app covers the full game loop: set up your table, record each hand, and let Jongzo calculate faan, apply the correct payout, and keep a running scoreboard. It understands the rules that matter to Hong Kong players — minimum faan, full and half spicy payment styles, flowers, seven pairs, eyes, and the option to draw to the end of the wall. A built-in reference explains every scoring combination, so newer players can learn while they play.

Jongzo is built for everyone around the table. Casual groups get a clean, fast scorekeeper with no setup friction. Competitive players can scan hands, track full match history, and share screenshot-friendly summary cards at the end of a session. Online play lets you create private rooms, invite friends by code, fill empty seats with bots, and resume saved games — all synced across accounts.

It's built by the Jongzo team — a small group of Mahjong enthusiasts who wanted a scorekeeper that felt as considered as the game itself. We're continually refining the app, and we'd love to hear how you play. If you have feedback, a feature request, or a rule you'd like supported, get in touch.
